10 Easter Activities for Kids
Local Easter events and days out around Swindon to make the most of the long weekend.
1. 🐑 Roves Farm
A lovely all-round Easter day out with plenty going on – from egg hunts and tractor rides to animal racing and meeting the Easter bunny, plus a fun Easter show.

2. 🎪 Easter Eggstravaganza
A great option if you’re after something a bit bigger – with an Easter trail, circus shows, bubble performances, fairground rides and plenty of space to explore.

3. 🥚Easter Adventure at Bowood
A lovely, more laid-back Easter day out – with a Golden Egg Hunt, Rainbow Egg Challenge and an arts & crafts station. There’s also a great adventure playground and activity barn, which makes it a really easy all-round day out.

4. 🌳 Easter trail at Dyrham Park
There’s an Easter trail around the parkland with activity stations, including games and little challenges along the way. It’s part of the National Trust with lots of space, beautiful views and great walks.

5. 🚂 Easter Egg-spress
It’s something a bit different – the Swindon & Cricklade Railway runs an Easter Egg-spress with a train ride, egg hunt and a chocolate egg at the end.

6. 🐓 Easter on the Farm
Cotswold Farm Park has a full Easter setup with “The Patch”, a spring trail with a little prize at the end, plus things like face painting. You can also upgrade to the Ultimate Easter Experience which includes things like make-a-bear, sand art or building your own little farm.

7. 🐰 Malmesbury Egg Hunt
If you fancy something a bit quieter, Malmesbury has a lovely little Easter hunt around the town. Collect your pack from Toy Expert, find all the eggs and solve the clue for a small treat at the end.

8. 🌷 Wiltshire Treehouse Easter Trail
A simple Easter trail in the Town Gardens, surrounded by spring flowers – and run by Wiltshire Treehouse, supporting the important work they do.

9. 🏫 Lydiard Park Easter Trail
There’s another Easter trail at Lydiard Park this year – around the lake with clues to follow and little puzzle to solve. There’s also a Easter bonnet parade in the walled garden.

10. 🚜 Peter Rabbit Tractor Rides
Sustain Farm Shop are doing Peter rabbit tractor rides around the farm, with the chance to meet him along the way. They’ve also got face painting and a small fun fair.
